Rosamond Jacob was a famous Waterford suffragette and political activist. Teresa Deevy was a well known Waterford Playwright who resided at “Landscape”, Passage Road, Waterford. In Dobbyn & McCoy we recently found a Deed of Conveyance dating back to the 1950’s, interestingly, the deed was signed by Rosamond Jacob and witnessed by Teresa Deevy. Teresa Deevy gave her address as “Landscape”, Passage Road, Waterford. The Deed contains original signatures of both women. It is indeed poignant to think that both these women are now dead, having left a substantial legacy, both in Waterford and indeed nationally.
